The Toronto Blue Jays have designated injured reliever Neil Wagner for assignment, according to Sportsnet’s Ben Nicholson-Smith.
Wagner recently underwent Tommy John surgery after injuring his elbow while rehabbing a forearm issue that kept him out of action for over two months.
The hard-throwing 30-year-old appeared in 36 games for the Blue Jays last year, and 10 more this year. Wagner will likely miss all of 2015 recovering from surgery.
