Blue Jays DFA Ezequiel Carrera after signing pitcher Seung-hwan Oh

The Toronto Blue Jays have designated outfielder Ezequiel Carrera for assignment after signing free agent pitcher Seung-hwan Oh to a one-year contract.

Ezequiel Carrera hit .282/.356/.408 last year. #BlueJays have lots of outfielders on roster. Carrera could draw trade interest (though return would presumably be minor).

Carrera, 30, has spent that last three seasons with the Blue Jays. In 2017, he hit .282/.356/.408 with eight home runs in 131 games with Toronto.

Oh, a 34-year-old right-handed reliever, joins the Blue Jays after two seasons with the Cardinals. Last season he had a 4.10 ERA with 54 strikeouts in 59.1 innings of relief.
