Jays’ Hutchison leaves games with arm injury

Already reeling from the losses of Brandon Morrow and Kyle Drabek, the Toronto Blue Jays starting rotation was rocked a third time Friday when Drew Hutchison left his outing after just nine pitches.

The 21-year-old right-hander finished a 1-1 offering to Hunter Pence that missed the zone and while bent over summoned for help from the dugout.

Trainer Hap Hudson appeared to be looking at Hutchison’s elbow and after a quick consultation the rookie was removed from the game, suffering from right elbow soreness.

Aaron Laffey took over from Hutchison.
