Toronto Blue Jays first baseman Justin Smoak and right-handed pitcher Edwin Jackson have been placed on the 10-day injured list.

Smoak, 32, has missed the last three games with a quad injury.
He’s hitting .225 with 12 home runs and 34 RBI in 62 games this season for the Blue Jays.
Jackson, 35, has a lower back strain. He was hit hard on Monday against the Los Angeles Angels on Monday, giving up six hits and seven runs while only getting two outs.
Reliever Justin Shafer and outfielder Billy McKinney were recalled from triple-A Buffalo to take their places on the roster.
