Blue Jays’ Kevin Pillar leaves game after diving catch

Watch as Kevin Pillar dives to rob Brock Holt of a hit and then gets the ball in to double off the runner at second.

Toronto Blue Jays centre-fielder Kevin Pillar has left Saturday’s game against the Boston Red Sox after making a diving catch to end the third inning.

According to the team, Pillar suffered a sternoclavicular joint injury in his right shoulder.

Pillar dove forward to catch a flyball off the bat of Brock Holt, turning a double-play.

He was replaced in the batting order for the top of the fourth by Dwight Smith Jr.
