Toronto Blue Jays centre-fielder Kevin Pillar has left Saturday’s game against the Boston Red Sox after making a diving catch to end the third inning.
According to the team, Pillar suffered a sternoclavicular joint injury in his right shoulder.
Pillar dove forward to catch a flyball off the bat of Brock Holt, turning a double-play.
He was replaced in the batting order for the top of the fourth by Dwight Smith Jr.
