Blue Jays’ Luke Maile likely to undergo procedure on injured right knee

MLB insider Jon Morosi says there's a fine line between selling & rebuilding, and there’s industry belief that the Blue Jays will be sellers, but no team would take on Tulo’s contract, as his value is lowest it’s ever been.

Luke Maile will likely undergo a procedure on his injured right knee, Toronto Blue Jays manager John Gibbons told reporters Wednesday.

Maile underwent an MRI Tuesday after the Blue Jays placed him on the disabled list with knee inflammation and activated Miguel Montero.

“It’s been bothering me for a while. It’s something that’s been banged up a little bit. The symptoms have been pretty consistent,” Maile said Tuesday. “It was challenging to fight through it but I thought it was doable. But now, with the moves that are going on, I just feel like it’s smart to get it looked at.

In 33 games with the Blue Jays the 26-year-old’s hitting .121/.154/.202.
