Marcus Stroman is headed back to the Toronto Blue Jays.
Stroman had been rehabbing a shoulder injury and was scheduled to make a start for the double-A New Hampshire Fisher Cats on Monday, but his start was rained out. He instead threw a simulated game against some Fisher Cats batters.
He then took to Twitter to post the following message:
Sportsnet’s Arden Zwelling confirms the Blue Jays plan on starting Stroman this weekend against the Los Angeles Angels.
The 27-year-old’s last start was a 5-0 loss to Seattle on May 8.
The righty has struggled in 2018, going 0-5 with a 7.71 ERA in seven starts.
