Toronto Blue Jays reliever Mike Bolsinger has been placed on the disabled list with left knee inflammation.

In a corresponding move, Cesar Valdez has been recalled from triple-A Buffalo.

Bolsinger hits the DL just a day after becoming just the second player in Blue Jays history to strike out four batters in a single inning.

The 29-year-old right-hander has a 5.59 ERA with 38 strikeouts and 23 walks over 38.2 innings pitched this season.

Valdez was a waiver claim of the Blue Jays back in May. He’s spent the majority of his time with Buffalo but has made two appearances with the big club this season.
