Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Nate Pearson was named as the No. 14 prospect on MLB Pipeline’s top 100 prospects list.
In 13 starts with double-A New Hampshire, Pearson is sporting a 2.54 ERA and 0.89 WHIP in 46 innings of work.
In total, three Blue Jays prospects made the top 100. Shortstop Bo Bichette, who is now with the big-league club, is on the list at No. 8 while shortstop Jordan Groshans — the team’s first-round pick in 2018 — was ranked No. 73.
Bichette, 21, made his MLB debut on Monday after hitting .275/.333/.473 with eight home runs in 56 games with triple-A Buffalo. He’s stayed hot in the majors, collecting nine hits — including three doubles and a home run — in five games.
Groshans, 19, was the 12th overall pick in the 2018 MLB Draft. This season with single-A Lansing, Groshans is hitting .337/.427/.482 with two home runs and six doubles in 23 games.
