TORONTO – Struggling left-hander Francisco Liriano hit the disabled list Thursday in the latest injury to strike the star-crossed Toronto Blue Jays.

Right-hander Leonel Campos was recalled from triple-A Buffalo to take his spot on the roster.

Liriano allowed seven runs in two innings against Cleveland on Wednesday, a second straight rough outing that pushed his ERA for the season up to 6.35.

His velocity is down nearly two m.p.h. from last year, dropping to 92.22 from 93.98.

The Blue Jays, who lost Casey Lawrence on waivers to Seattle on Thursday, will be able to patch the hole with Mike Bolsinger, who started Tuesday against Cleveland but was due to be bumped from the rotation with Aaron Sanchez’s pending return Sunday.

He joins Josh Donaldson, Troy Tulowitzki, Russell Martin, Sanchez and J.A. Happ on the disabled list.
