The Toronto Blue Jays are down another pitcher.
Ryan Tepera was placed on the injury list with right elbow impingement on Tuesday.
According to Sportsnet’s Ben Nicholson-Smith, Tepera will be meeting with a specialist and there is concern that the injury may require more than 10 days on the injured list.
Right-handed pitcher Jimmy Cordero will be added to the 25-man roster in Tepera’s place.
Tepera is 0-2 this season, with a 6.55 ERA and 1.64 WHIP. The news comes one day after he gave up three hits, including two home runs, in one inning of work against the Boston Red Sox on Monday.
Cordero, 27, was claimed off waivers by the Blue Jays from the Washington Nationals on May 15.
