The Toronto Blue Jays have called up left-handed pitching prospect Thomas Pannone and optioned Mike Hauschild to triple-A Buffalo.
Pannone has started six games for the Bisons in 2018, compiling a 4.91 ERA with 40 strikeouts in 36.2 innings. The 24-year-old was suspended 80 games earlier this season after testing positive for the performance-enhancing substance dehydrochlormethyltestosterone.
Hauschild started for the Blue Jays in Wednesday’s loss to the Boston Red Sox, surrendering four earned runs in 2.1 innings of work.
