The Toronto Blue Jays have recalled outfielder Darrell Ceciliani from triple-A Buffalo and optioned reliever Leonel Campos.
Ceciliani has had a tough start to his season with the Bisons, posting a line of .145/.188/.158 in 21 games. He appeared in 13 contests for the Blue Jays in 2016, striking out 14 times in 29 plate appearances.
Campos pitched 2.1 innings in the Blue Jays’ 10-6 loss to the Atlanta Braves Monday night, surrendering a three-run homer to Freddie Freeman.
Toronto and Atlanta play the second of their four-game, home-and-home series Tuesday afternoon at Rogers Centre. First pitch is set for 4:07 p.m. ET.
