The Toronto Blue Jays have recalled outfielder Billy McKinney from the triple-A Buffalo Bisons.

The move was coupled with catcher Luke Maile being placed on the paternity list.

McKinney, 23, was acquired from the New York Yankees by the Blue Jays on July 26 in exchange for pitcher J.A. Happ and is expected to wear No. 28.

The outfielder appeared in 20 games for the Bisons, hitting .203 with three home runs and eight RBIs.
