The Toronto Blue Jays have recalled outfielder Teoscar Hernandez, the team announced Wednesday.
To make room on the roster, the Blue Jays have optioned outfielder Jonathan Davis to triple-A Buffalo.
Hernandez was sent down to Buffalo on May 16 after struggling with the big club through the first 39 games of the season. The 26-year-old has a .189 batting average and a .262 on-base percentage in the majors so far this season.
Davis, who was recalled from Buffalo on May 10, has a .143 average this season with a .176 on-base percentage in 17 games with the Blue Jays in 2019.
