Toronto Blue Jays closer Roberto Osuna has been named American League reliever of the month for his performance in June.
Osuna made 12 appearances in June, striking out 19 batters while walking just one. He gave up just four hits, only two of which went for extra bases (a pair of doubles), and one run.
He earned eight saves and held opposing batters to a .105/.128/.286 slash line.
The 22-year-old also came forward about his struggles with anxiety, missing a game of action.
The flamethrower is 2-0 with a 2.25 ERA and 19 saves in 2017.
