Russell Martin: Toronto Blue Jays catcher, shortstop and, now, outfielder?
Martin will get the start in left field for the Blue Jays in their Monday matinee with the Boston Red Sox.
A somewhat surprising turn of events, this kind of positional swap is beginning to look like the norm for the usual Toronto catcher as just two days ago he got the start at shortstop.
This season Martin is batting .165/.294/.322 with five home runs and 14 RBI in 143 plate appearances.
The Blue Jays are in Boston taking on the Red Sox at 1:05 p.m. ET as part of American Memorial Day celebrations.
