Marcus Stroman will not pitch for the Toronto Blue Jays this weekend against the Baltimore Orioles as he is still dealing with lingering symptoms from a left-shoulder pectoral cramp, according to manager Charlie Montoyo.
The 28-year-old left his last outing against the Kansas City Royals in the fifth inning and had his last start against the Boston Red Sox pushed back.
Stroman will not pitch before the All-Star Game, but he may still pitch in the mid-summer classic if he feels well enough. A decision will have to be made soon in order for the league to find another pitcher to replace him.
The All-Star Game takes place on July 9 at Progressive Field in Cleveland.
