Blue Jays’ Vlad Guerrero Jr. just hit a home run off a tee

Stephen Brunt in Good Show studios discussing the Blue Jays youth movement in full effect, and will likely spell the end for struggling Kendrys Morales, but doesn't think they should call up 19-year old Vladimir Guerrero until next year.

Leave it to Vlad Guerrero Jr. to take tee-ball to the next level.

The Toronto Blue Jays‘ top prospect, who’s got baseball fans eagerly anticipating his arrival in the big leagues, was showing off his impressive batting skills during an MLB TV segment when he hit one off a tee, to opposite field, and out of the park.

A former first baseman in the majors with 286 career home runs to his name, Carlos Pena jokingly calls for a timeout after Guerrero Jr. goes yard to express his amazement at what just happened.

If you’re questioning how difficult this is, consider the energy that transfers from bat to ball on a pitched home run. Now, take away the energy from the pitch, and you’re left with one heck of a powerful swing as the only momentum to send that ball flying beyond the ballpark’s walls.

In other words, this is very difficult to do — just not if your name is Vlad, apparently.
