Blue Jays’ Vladimir Guerrero Jr. returns to lineup vs. Astros

Robinson Chirinos drove in six as the Houston Astros open the series against the Toronto Blue Jays with a 15-2 win.

After sitting out Saturday’s game with some soreness in his hand, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is back in the Toronto Blue Jays‘ lineup for Sunday’s matinee against the Houston Astros.

Guerrero will DH and hit second in the lineup. Eric Sogard will play third base.

Guerrero was hit in the hand by a mid-90s fastball during Friday’s game in the first inning. After initially staying in the game, he left the contest and did not return.

Since being called up to the major leagues, the 20-year-old has slashed .268/.333/.463 with seven home runs and 19 RBIs.
