The Milwaukee Brewers have signed former Toronto Blue Jays first baseman Chris Colabello to a minor-league deal, the team announced on Tuesday.

Colabello was released by the Cleveland Indians on July 8 after signing a minor-league deal with the club in December. The 33-year-old batted .225/.324/.333 with six home runs in 296 plate appearances with triple-A Columbus, and never got a call up to join the Indians.

Colabello is just two seasons removed from helping the Blue Jays win a division title. In that 2015 season he hit .321/.367/.520 with 15 home runs in 360 plate appearances. He was with Toronto for just 10 games last season because he served an 80-game suspension for a failed PED test.
