Toronto Blue Jays prospect Miguel Castro has come off the triple-A Buffalo Bisons’ disabled list, but he will not be rejoining the team.
Castro broke camp with the Blue Jays and grabbed the closer role early on only to be demoted by the team on May 4. In his time with the big club he posted an 0-2 record with a 4.38 ERA and four saves.
After being assigned to the Bisons, the 20-year-old went 0-2 with a 3.09 ERA in five starts prior to his injuring his right hand on May 29.
The hard-throwing right-hander is familiar with the Dunedin Blue Jays as he finished his 2014 season with the team.
