Catcher Beau Taylor is headed back to the Oakland Athletics after just one game with the Toronto Blue Jays.

Taylor, 29, was claimed off waivers by Oakland on Tuesday after appearing in one game for Toronto on Sept. 3 in Atlanta, going hitless in two at-bats. The Blue Jays designated him for assignment Saturday.

Taylor started the season with Oakland, but was designated for assignment in mid-August by the A’s.

He hit .182 with two home runs and two RBI in nine games over two stints with Oakland.

The A’s designated catcher Chris Herrmann for assignment in a corresponding move.
