Cherry: Farrell’s move to BoSox good for Jays

Hockey Night in Canada’s Don Cherry thinks that John Farrell’s move to Boston is a good thing for the Toronto Blue Jays.

Amidst the aftermath of Farrell move, the famously-outspoken Cherry took to Twitter to add his opinion to the mix.

Cherry argued that Farrell made it clear he did not want to stay in Toronto, and that his departure is no great loss for the team, as it leaves the manager job open to someone with more experience.

Farrell leaves the Blue Jays after two seasons with the club to return to the Red Sox, a club he spent several years with as a pitching coach. Boston will make the Farrell appointment official in a press conference Tuesday.
