Gotta See it: Kid gets ball confiscated after elder snags it from play

Check this out, as a security guard in Atlanta makes quick decision to eject this fan for interfering with a fair ball, but did he really have to take the ball away from the young kid?

Getting a kid’s hopes up is a dangerous road to travel – a lesson an Atlanta Braves fan learned last night.

In the bottom of the eight inning in a close game between the Braves and Pirates, a fan made the foolish mistake of reaching for a fair ball that was making its way towards his section. To his credit, the ball wasn’t for himself, but rather for a kid he was sitting alongside.

Upon receiving the ball, the little boy was clearly ecstatic, jumping up and down in his seat while raising the ball proudly in the air. Unfortunately, his happiness was short-lived, as a Braves security guard came over and confiscated the ball while escorting his elder out of SunTrust Park.

It was a sad sight to witness, but according to reports the Braves helped restore the kid’s smile by gifting him a ball signed by the team.
