Vladimir Guerrero Jr. will make his Toronto Blue Jays spring training debut Sunday against the Baltimore Orioles.
Brandon Drury will start at third base in Toronto’s spring opener Saturday against the Detroit Tigers.
Ryan Borucki will be the starting pitcher Saturday with Danny Jansen behind the plate. Justin Smoak (first base), Devon Travis (second base) and Freddy Galvis (shortstop) round out the infield. Teoscar Hernandez, Kevin Pillar and Dalton Pompey start from left to right in the outfield.
Guerrero Jr. is the top-ranked prospect in MLB. It is expected he will begin the 2019 season in the minors in order to give the Blue Jays an extra year of team control.
