Former Blue Jays pitcher Jack Morris didn’t get the phone call from the Hall of Fame he was hoping for Wednesday, but it appears someone else has recently reached out to him.
Jays have talked to former Twins broadcaster Jack Morris about replacing Alan Ashby in the booth

The 57-year-old Morris — who received 67.7 per cent support in Hall of Fame voting results released Wednesday — had been working part time as a radio announcer for the Minnesota prior to the 2012 season.
Ashby resigned from his post with the Blue Jays earlier this month to take a broadcasting job with Houston Astros, where he resides.
I was hoping to find and share some clips of Morris’ radio work with the Twins on YouTube, but after stumbling upon this gem — the ninth inning of Morris’ 1984 no-hitter, called by Vin Scully no less — I stopped looking.
Wouldn’t you?
