The Toronto Blue Jays announced today that they have selected the contract of right-handed pitcher Bobby Korecky and optioned lefty Rob Rasmussen to triple-A Buffalo.

Korecky, who offers versatility in the bullpen and the ability to pitch extended innings if needed, has been in the Blue Jays organization since 2011 after stints with the Minnesota Twins and Arizona Diamondbacks. The 34-year-old appeared in 22 games for the Buffalo Bisons this season, picking up a 3-1 record in 31 innings pitched. In that span he has registered 32 strikeouts, allowed only 16 hits, and carries a 0.77 WHIP and 0.29 ERA.

Rasmussen performed well in his brief time with the big league club, allowing two hits and zero runs in four appearances for the Blue Jays since being called up to replace Marcus Stroman on May 20th.
