Toronto Blue Jays top pitching prospect Daniel Norris continued his stellar play for the triple-A Buffalo Bisons Thursday night.

Norris allowed just one hit and one earned run over five innings, with nine strikeouts and three walks. The 21-year-old lefty picked up the win in the Bisons 5-1 victory over the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders.

Norris moved to 12-1 overall in the minor leagues this season, with a 1.08 ERA in three triple-A starts.

Another strong outing from Norris comes less than a week after Blue Jays general manager Alex Anthopoulos hinted that his top pitching prospect could arrive in Toronto before long.

Dalton Pompey, a native of Mississauga, Ont., made his triple-A debut Thursday after being promoted from double-A New Hampshire Wednesday. Pompey batted in the lead-off position and recorded his first hit with a single in the fifth inning. He finished the game 1-for-4 with two strikeouts.
