The Toronto Blue Jays have promoted touted pitching prospect Daniel Norris and catcher Derrick Chung to double-A New Hampshire.
Norris, a 21-year-old left-hander, has dominated at single-A Dunedin this season and needed a new challenge.
In 13 starts, he’s posted a 6-0 record with a 1.22 ERA, 1.025 WHIP and 10.3 strikeouts per nine innings.
Chung, converted to catcher from third base last yet, posted an .833 OPS in 49 games.
The 26-year-old has made rapid progress since the switch and the Blue Jays want to keep challenging him.
