TORONTO – The Toronto Blue Jays will play another set of exhibition games in Montreal next spring against a still-to-be finalized opponent, an industry source told Sportsnet.

Talks are ongoing in that regard, the source added.

The news was first reported by Jeremy Filosa of 98.5 Sports in Montreal, who added that the Blue Jays’ opponent would be the Cincinnati Reds after they edged out the Pittsburgh Pirates.

The Blue Jays played two games against the New York Mets to close out spring training in March, drawing a total of 96,350 to Olympic Stadium that far exceeded expectations and captured the attention of Major League Baseball officials.

Blue Jays pre-season play in Montreal again in 2015 was considered a given ever since.
