Latest on the Blue Jays: The New York Yankees defeated the Boston Red Sox, 3-1, at Fenway Park on Tuesday night and were hoping to gain ground on Toronto in the American League East standings. But Ryan Goins refused to let that happen, smacking a two-run walk-off home run in the 10th to lead the Blue Jays to a 5-3 victory over the Cleveland Indians. The dramatic win preserved a 1.5-game division lead for the high-flying Blue Jays.
