The MLB playoff push is our daily look back and ahead at the post-season picture as teams position themselves for October.
Latest on the Toronto Blue Jays: The Blue Birds dropped two of three to the AL East-leading Boston Red Sox over the weekend and now find themselves two games back of first in the division.
Francisco Liriano takes the mound on Monday as the Blue Jays open a three-game series against the pesky Tampa Bay Rays at Rogers Centre. The Rays own a 9-7 record against Toronto this season, most recently winning a series between the two at the beginning of the month.
Toronto will no doubt be keeping an eye on the scoreboard as the Red Sox open a three-game set with the Baltimore Orioles.
