The Cleveland Indians can host the All-Star Week with pride.

After struggling in the first half of the season and losing 13-0 to the Orioles on back-to-back days late last month, the Indians seem to have found a way out of the hole. Cleveland has won seven of its past 10 games including four in a row for second place in the AL Central, good for a record that’s 10 games over .500. Indians batters have hit .307 with a .363 wOBA since those humiliating losses to Baltimore, and the team’s pitchers have combined for a 2.25 ERA during that stretch.

That stellar week means the team and its three all-stars are the biggest winners of this edition of our MLB Power Rankings as all attention now shifts to some light-hearted showmanship at Progressive Field.

The almighty Astros have a league-leading six players invited to Tuesday’s game, with Alex Bregman also in the Home Run Derby. Houston will showcase three starting position players and three pitchers for the All-Star Game, proving beyond any argument that it’s once again one of the greatest World Series contenders in MLB. Add that to a five-game winning streak and the Astros are all set to enter the break as the best team in the AL.

Unwavering at No. 1 in the rankings, the Dodgers are riding a streak of their own with four wins in their past four games. They’ll bring four all-stars to Cleveland, including 24-year-old righty Walker Buehler and two other pitchers. Los Angeles has the second-best ERA in the league this year (3.41) and their pitchers also rank second in WAR (13), trailing only the Rays in both categories.

Currently in a losing streak and with one lone all-star (J.T. Realmuto, not Bryce Harper), the Phillies have lost some ground as the Red Sox, who are back up at the No. 9 spot, now head to Detroit to face the feeble Tigers before the break. The Braves still lead that division and have been able to stay solid in the No. 5 position, with Canadian righty Mike Soroka earning his first career all-star nod.
