BALTIMORE — Left-hander John Parrish and the Baltimore Orioles have agreed to a minor league contract.
If added to the major league roster, the 31-year-old pitcher would get an US$850,000, one-year contract.
Following eight seasons with the Orioles, Parrish went 1-1 with a 4.04 in six starts and seven relief appearances for the Toronto Blue Jays last year.
Left-hander Brian Burres, designated for assignment when the Orioles acquired pitcher Rich Hill on Monday from the Chicago Cubs, was claimed Wednesday by the Blue Jays.
