Possible leak reveals Miami Marlins’ revamped logo

MLB insider Shi Davidi joins the Jeff Blair Show, for his latest update on the Blue Jays managerial search, with the reports being that they've narrowed that search down to five candidates.

The Miami Marlins could be getting a new logo, if a fan account of the team is to be believed.

Instagram account Marlins Network offered a first look with the following post:

If this becomes the primary logo of the club, it would mark the Marlins’ fourth since becoming an MLB team in 1993, according to SportsLogos.net.

The club made news on Tuesday when it won county permission to remove the much talked-about home run sculpture from centre field of Marlins Park.

It was considered a victory for team CEO Derek Jeter, who can now dismiss a strong reminder of unpopular previous owner Jeffrey Loria’s regime.
