Josh Donaldson talks about his injury and why he doesn’t want to push his calf if it means it could cost him down the road.

The Texas Rangers have claimed right-handed pitcher Deck McGuire off waivers from the Toronto Blue Jays.

McGuire, who will turn 29 next week, has been up and down between the Blue Jays and triple-A Buffalo all season. In 8.1 innings pitched out of the bullpen with the Blue Jays this season, he has a 6.48 ERA with seven strikeouts.

McGuire was originally a first-round pick by the Blue Jays in 2010.
