The Boston Red Sox have signed manager Alex Cora to a contract extension that could keep him around through the 2022 season.
Cora led the Red Sox to a World Series championship and was a finalist for the AL’s manager of the year award in his first season on the job.
His original contract ran through the 2020 season with a club option for 2021, while the new deal runs through 2021 with a club option for 2022.
More to come.
