Another player on the Miami Marlins has tested positive for COVID-19, according to The Athletic‘s Ken Rosenthal, bringing the reported number of cases within the organization to 18.

The latest update on the Marlins’ outbreak comes a day after MLB postponed the team’s games through Sunday in an attempt to contain the surge of cases to just Miami.

While the Marlins continue to reportedly produce positive test results, the Philadelphia Phillies – who hosted Miami for a three-game series this past weekend – have had COVID-19 tests for players and staff come back negative for the second straight day, according to ESPN’s Jeff Passan.

MLB also postponed Phillies games through Friday as a precautionary measure while the team awaited further test results.

The Marlins are currently scheduled to play again next Tuesday in Miami against the Phillies, while Philadelphia is hosting the Toronto Blue Jays for a three-game weekend series reportedly starting on Saturday with a double-header.

According to a league statement on Tuesday, the Marlins were the only team to have positive test results since last Friday.
