The Toronto Blue Jays have reportedly come to an agreement with right-hand relief pitcher Ryan Dull on a minor league deal, according to insider Robert Murray.
The deal is also expected to include an invite to spring training.
Dull, 30, played one game with the Blue Jays last season, pitching 1.1 innings with an ERA of 6.75. He also spent three games with the New York Yankees and seven games with the Oakland Athletics during the 2019 season.
Overall, Dull pitched 12.2 innings in the majors in 2019, earning a 12.79 ERA, 15 strikeouts and a 2.53 WHIP.
In the minors, Dull posted a 2-4 record during the 2019 season, pitching 49.1 innings in 36 games. The right-hander earned a 5.29 ERA and a 1.28 WHIP with 57 strikeouts.
The five-foot-nine pitcher was drafted by the Athletics in the 32nd round of the 2012 MLB draft, 979th overall. He made his MLB debut on Sept. 1, 2015 with the A’s and remained with the team until partway through the 2019 season.
In his career, Dull has pitched 171.1 innings in 171 MLB games, earning a 4.31 ERA, four saves out of 10 save opportunities and a 1.15 WHIP.
