This shouldn’t really come as a surprise to Toronto Blue Jays fans, but it can be quite expensive to attend games at the Rogers Centre.
According to a study of MLB stadium prices from GOBankingRates, Blue Jays games are the fourth most expensive games to attend in MLB.
The methodology of the study was as follows: “GOBankingRates surveyed four costs of attending a baseball game at all 30 Major League Baseball stadiums: (1) ticket prices, calculated by averaging the cost-per-game for the five cheapest season ticket prices advertised on the baseball team’s official MLB site; and (2) parking, (3) beer, and (4) hot dog prices, as reported in the April 2015 Team Marketing Report. To find the cost of attending a game, GOBankingRates assumed two guests and calculated the total cost of two tickets, two hot dogs, two beers, and one parking spot. Stadiums were ranked by this amount to find the least and most expensive stadiums for baseball fans attending a game.”

The study found the average cost of a Blue Jays game was $109.38. (Two tickets: $63.20, two hot dogs: $9.96, two beers: $13.58, parking: $22.64).
That is compared to the average cost of spending the day at an MLB ballpark, which GOBankingRates calculated to be $77.92 (Two tickets: $41.41, two hot dogs: $8.73, two beers: $11.89, parking: $15.89).
American League rivals Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees ranked as the most and third most expensive, respectively, while the Chicago Cubs were second. Los Angeles Angels games were ranked as the least expensive to attend.
It was reported in March the Blue Jays are worth $900 million U.S. according to the latest rankings released by Forbes.
