Former Toronto Blue Jays catcher Luke Maile has reportedly agreed to a contract with the Pittsburgh Pirates, according to MLB Network’s Jon Heyman.

Maile, 28, caught in 158 games over three seasons with the Blue Jays, serving primarily as backup to Russell Martin and Danny Jansen. He hit .193/.257/.293 with seven home runs and 43 RBIs in his time with the Blue Jays.

The deal reunites Maile with new Pirates GM Ben Cherington, who spent the last three seasons as vice-president of baseball operations in Toronto.
