The San Francisco Giants have added one of the top relievers on the free agent market, reportedly agreeing to a deal with Tony Watson.
Watson split the 2017 season between the Pittsburgh Pirates and Los Angeles Dodgers, registering 10 saves (all with the Pirates) and pitching to a 3.38 ERA.
The left-hander is just the latest big addition this off-season for the Giants, who have also brought in star outfielder Andrew McCutchen and Gold Glove third baseman Evan Longoria.
Watson figures to slide into a late-inning relief role behind closer Mark Melancon.
