The San Francisco Giants have agreed to a deal with outfielder Hunter Pence, a four-time all star and two-time World Series champion, according to multiple reports.
Pence has spent six-plus seasons with the Giants during his 13-year career, winning a pair of titles in that span. Last season, he was an all star with the Texas Rangers while posting a career-high .910 OPS in 83 games.
The 36-year-old was drafted in the second round of the 2004 draft by the Houston Astros. Injuries have shortened a few of his seasons, but he has hit 20-plus home runs seven times and posted an OPS above league average 11 times.
By reuniting with the Giants, Pence joins a team that finished 77-85 last season and missed the playoffs for the fourth time in the past five seasons.
