The Seattle Mariners are continuing to trade away veteran players, with shortstop Jean Segura being the latest to be moved.

According to Bob Nightengale of USA Today, the Philadelphia Phillies have agreed in principal to acquire Segura for shortstop J.P. Crawford. Nightengale adds that other players are involved in the trade and that the teams will make it official on Monday.

Jon Heyman of MLB Network reports that Segura still has to agree to waive his no-trade clause before the trade can be processed.

The move comes one day after the Mariners agreed to send Robinson Cano and Edwin Diaz to the New York Mets. The Mariners have also traded pitcher James Paxton to the Yankees, catcher Mike Zunino to Tampa Bay and pitcher Alex Colome to the White Sox this off-season.

Segura, 28, played two seasons in Seattle after the Mariners acquired him from the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2016. Last season he hit .341/.415/.755 with 63 RBIs and 10 home runs in 144 games. Over his seven-year career, the two-time all-star has hit .327/.404/.731 with 64 home runs and 316 RBIs.

Crawford, 23, has appeared in 72 MLB games with the Phillies over the past two seasons. Last year, in 49 games, the 2013 first-round pick hit .214/.319/.393 with three home runs and 12 RBIs.
