Report: Blue Jays’ potential trade for Bruce unlikely now

A potential three-team trade between the Toronto Blue Jays, Cincinnati Reds and Los Angeles Angels is off for now, according to reports.

The proposed trade would have reportedly sent Jay Bruce to the Blue Jays, Michael Saunders to the Los Angeles Angels and a collection of prospects to the Reds. The deal reportedly fell through because of medical issues surrounding a Blue Jays minor-leaguer involved in the deal.

Although this deal didn’t go through, reports indicate the Blue Jays could still explore other options in a potential trade for Bruce.
