Diamondbacks claim Reimold from Blue Jays

Two days after being designated for assignment by the Toronto Blue Jays, Nolan Reimold is headed to the Arizona Diamondbacks on a waiver claim, the Blue Jays announced Thursday.

Reimold appeared in 22 games for the Blue Jays this year, posting a .687 OPS in 60 plate appearances. He hit two home runs in a game against the Houston Astros July 31 then slumped, posting a .391 OPS in August.

Reimold, who was selected on waivers from the Baltimore Orioles on July 6, played right field and designated hitter in Toronto.
