The Rogers Centre roof will be closed for the Toronto Blue Jays‘ Saturday afternoon affair with the Detroit Tigers because of an extreme heat warning.
The roof will remain closed for Sunday afternoon’s contest as well.
Additionally, multiple water stations will be available throughout the Rogers Centre 100, 200 and 500 level concourses from Saturday through Monday in the interest of fan safety.
Environment Canada issued an extreme weather alert for Toronto, with daytime highs expected to reach the mid-30s C and humidex values into the mid-40s C.
