New Blue Jay Drew Storen ‘apparently now a Drake fan’

Drew Storen had some fun on Twitter following his trade from the Nationals to the Blue Jays, not only changing his bio to include a shout out to Drake, but also asking when he can meet Toronto councillor and Twitter sensation Norm Kelly.

Less than 24 hours after being traded to the Toronto Blue Jays, relief pitcher Drew Storen took to Twitter to express his excitement.

He also had a question.

The 28-year-old right hander is, of course, referring to Toronto city councillor Norm Kelly, who is known for his presence on Twitter and being an avid Drake supporter.

Storen was quick to follow in Kelly’s footsteps in the wake of his move, updating his Twitter profile to show some love for the Toronto rapper.

Acquired by the Jays from the Washington Nationals in exchange for Ben Revere, new teammate Marcus Stroman was among those welcoming Storen to his new team on Saturday.

It’s still early, but it looks as though the newest Blue Jay is going to fit in nicely.
